The problem

Multi branch retail usually runs on one spreadsheet per branch, reconciled at month end. Between counts, the stock figure is a guess, so every pricing, purchasing and transfer decision made in those weeks rests on a guess.

The symptoms follow from that. One branch runs out of a fast mover while another sits on half a year of the same item. And margin per product, per branch, per period, the number every decision needs, is the one number nobody has.

How it works

1. 1Every sale consumes its components from the branch that fulfilled it.
2. 2A line dropping below its reorder point generates a draft purchase order.
3. 3Approval posts the order to the supplier ledger.
4. 4Receiving posts it back into stock.
5. 5Transfers move stock between branches with an audit trail.
6. 6Margin is computed from actual cost at the time of sale, not an average someone maintains.

Why we built it

Distributors kept describing the same month end archaeology: days spent reconciling branch spreadsheets to learn what the stock position used to be. So we built the system that makes the reorder decision from the stock level instead of from an empty shelf.
